And since your asking for my own experience, I moved away from my hometown at the age of six and didn’t visit again until I was a grown up. Still recognised all my closest friends immediately. And this guy, even with a photo as backup, can’t recognised a person who left such a mark that he is still looking for them? Yeah, that’s a fail.
Possibly. I wouldn't know. I immigrated when I was young so if I were to ever run across someone when I'm older I don't know if I would've recognized them. But the reverse is true for me, meeting somebody who I've not seen since they were little and then seeing them as an adult I did not recognize them. Though, it could be how close you were to them as well. Like, also, MAYBE the context of your hometown?

As far the images we're presented with, it's difficult to say. The rendering has to be done close enough to the original person so that we can recognize them as the two ppl are the same person. It's done for us, really. If the artist decided to make the appearance too dissimilar then ofc the recognition is out of place.
And since this is an omegaverse omegas are small and dainty. And pretty. So for him to put two and two together is a big feat.

And as for them being alpha and omega, weren’t they too small to really know? Wasn’t he just assuming? And with this story, he knows there are drugs that can switch you around to something new.
