It’s so weird to me that Chowie is making an issue out of the beta liking him: a man. There are same gendered couples everywhere in this story. Chow was even married to a man himself. And an arranged marriage at that, something that is done to create strength for both families. Homosexual relations are common as fuck in this world. Why is he having such a weird reaction? It’s as if a guy over here would say to a girl “why do you like me? I’m a man you know. What kind of a freak are you?”
