There are sensitive themes since the story revolves around crime, abuse, drug deals, police operations, and gangs. You really can't separate the psychological aspect related to those. But there's no triangle. ML is green flag. Mc is in love with ML. They have healthy relationship.
You should read it. It's good. The mystery and how MC overcomes his trauma will hook you. The author neither glossed or downplayed his and their circumstances. If you can't handle it now, shelve it for later.
