ive seen some borgia-inspired fanfic webtoons as well as the biopic manga cesare, ive read the gothic biopic for marie antoinettes executioner (a masterpiece rlly), ive seen war of the roses/king richard manga, but this is my first time seeing betsy the virgin webtoon LMAO

1. Cesare https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/cesare/
2. innocent rouge (about marie antoinettes executioner) https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/innocent_rouge/
3. war of the roses https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/baraou_no_souretsu/
the 3 are very gothically yassified in tone, while this webtoon is like..idk kpopified branch lf yassification so theyre very different but enjoyable in each independent ways!

the korean webtoon obsession of dead/bad mother, evil sister, and MC cozying up to multiple brothers, father (in this case 2 dads!!), and sometimes sons need to be studied cause i feel like this is stemming for a deep seated daddy issue coping mechanism or something hahaha

In a country with lots of huge fans of patriarchy and gender inequality as Korea ofc they're all having daddy issues lol. I also believe the terms of being "transferred" is actually a metaphor of escaping the reality, where they can live in a world where they finally can be loved and being seen as the most important human ever in their life by the males (dad and brother) bc irl they don't, male usually looking down on them.

ig that makes sense, but i was kinda nudging more towards s freudian slip cause they always manage to demonize female characters in these webtoons (despite that already happening irl) so their patriarchal escapism isnt about that, just about themselves. its giving pick me:( also like BIG freudian slip cause i found a webtoon like this where shes neglected in the family but then she goes on male family members heart stealing spree EXCEPT that the endgame is actually her father like......i felt so sick when i read the spoilers

but i love how young and bitter rosha is. shes 14 yo child soldier, her humanity only hinges on whether her sister lives or dies. she didnt know how to be a kid, to be a girl, only knew how to kill and seek. her lashing out on joshua after only like 2 minutes talking to him in a day is well written and not unfounded. shes going to learn obvi but i like her

this is written incredibly efficiently but not letting up on speech styles either bc both speaks in a serenade-concealed-intimidation nuances. every conversation FL and ML have are an efficient catch-and-throw, none of the 'pretty image slow motion' panel romance webtoon bs. they meant business. of course this will change with time but for now its realistic to where they both stand.
i especially appreciate it more cause as someone who has read a lot of the similars, this kind of quick fast paced but to the point conversations is helping me shrugs off the isekai fatigue. like yes! less decorations and more substance!
THERES AN UPDATE HOORAYYY
