the best things about this is her closest family members noticing shes not the same person. her father who treasures her and the lady in waiting who loves her to bits knowing eris is gone is a perfect touch. on her father it shows how much the father sees eris as a tool, groomed her to take power and uplift the family name, it shows how much he had intensely molded her into an overachiever and failure-fearing person eris was. on emma it shows that even when eris is cold and jealous there are people who love her nonetheless and her efforts appeal and will be appreciated by the people who matters. knowing how the webtoon got its title was from her own effort of k wording herself is really a good set up for the new eris' personality.
this webtoon has been emotional and exciting at the same time and its only on chapter 11. an
the world seemed so magical and eerie, the protagonist was mysterious, the spider was an absolute presence, and the villainess was badass af, even the old ladys role was puzzling but fitting nonetheless. the second and last arc felt like it was written by 2 entirely different people from the first volume. it has none of the charms exhibited in the beginning. felt more like a mixture of pedophilic wet dream and cosmic horror. pity. the art is crazy goo though.
for her to be selfish after time reverse is highly logical, but even if she turns greedy and scheming that would still sits well with me. i dont want her to be merciful, after all even if th events of her past-future where she was made assassin is nullified with the time turn, the primary antagonists zero and duchess dowager are already 1 step ahead of her and are already evil. she can feign self defence and development lol
that shes practically a sexually/romantically inexperienced girl being caught in an aristocratic sexcapades. the crown prince is sus, and other than her own men, the other men shes encountered has either been condescending, sexually objectifying or both i cant help but feeling a little antsy. almost wishing for her to go back to the north and away from glitzy politics!! i just really cant stand her being snared into physical relationship so fast into the story and she didnt even know what generic "handsome" is not 10 chapters ago....
the story is shallow and it has no real purpose. but even some shallow webtoons has grit and intensity to certain scenes but this webtoon is just lifeless and bland and no character has personality. idc about the characters being shitty and having a dilemma about it not because im appalled but bc nothing from the interaction exudes any emotion....they be talking about "my biggest concern" "my dark family" but all there is was just pretty pictures with speech bubbles. theyre not even talking to each other much less to the reader. no immersion at all
this is so good because none of the ML are even remotely have issues so far lmao. they just have different ways of communicating and thats realistic af. both are adorable and both will be a good match for miseol. im really enjoying miseols main character moment over here lmao the power she has
since the whole tricked marriage disaster is so ridiculous and the whole stranded on an island journey is gold romcom, i feel so off when i find out the parents werent actually playful and mischievous. finding out the reason of mer and dmetrios getting together was actually a wholeass tragedy was weird. the logic behind the issue with her parents didnt seem strong enough for me, i mean if her mothers baby blues and her fathers brittle affection is included i get it but i didnt see how that should be the main relationship strain between them, much less a pivotal part to their marriage. this is just me though, i just feel that that 1 plot point about her parents rocky marriage is out of place and not enough a reasoning...just feels incomplete to be a foundation of an arc me thinks

it actually seems a lot logical plot point for eclise to betray penelope. his favorability percentage goes too fast and with not so much effort from penelope herself. his arc is literally the idiom "easy comes easy goes". on the other hand, callisto being the only one of the targets who penelope has the hardest time building trust and emotional bond is a fitting ML because they literally get to know each other on their worst standings to their best. they grow together and appeal to each other over time. wherein eclise leans onto penelope and grows possessive and paranoid because of that, callisto and penelope leans on each other with firm trust.
i was upset because eclise is my favourite but now you’ve made me really excited for the crown prince arc :)
honestly its a long long long shot bc callisto has reasons to build the entirety of his aggressive psycho persona and itll be long before he brings down his wall, and penelope has put up similarly high wall herself but its what makes them perfect together and worth it! i just hope we get to see it in webtoon soon hahaha
