i feel like ML keep rewinding time is driven by pure greed and obsession being confused to be affection towards lamia. his only objective is her and her only, he doesnt even think twice to break her brothers hand and complicate matters for her further. i just think he has a savior complex and he sees lamia as a damsel in distress, and thats why he got so attached to her but he ignore everything else she holds dear

this series is doing WONDERS in my opinion because theres no romance in this, even up until chapter 40. even if theres a romance id like it if the love interest be someone unpredictable and she has never seen prior to the rewind because that would make it more interesting rather than her salvaging a tragic past romance in the timeline where she died, or if she somehow romances someone the she knows now by some twist of fate (painter, knight, cousin-nemesis)
If you haven't read it, you would probably like The villainess Reverses the Hourglass. In fact, the light novel for it is completed and even better. Savage revenge, great romance but with a new guy so there's none of this crap, and the romance never gets in the way of her mission.
im reading that! and isnt it clear that having an entirely new character that time-rewound mc has never seen prior to the rewind is more appealing? their romance make sense and fits perfectly because duh theyve never met before, hence all the fluttery feelings. a little cringey romance is refreshing because MC herself didnt see that coming and as surprised as us readers. now this in comparison.....what are we going to do? dread that her ptsd and negative reaction every time he sees her possible love interest slowly change into love?? doesnt make any sense right

first off im going to appreciate that the lore building is immaculate. we're not told so much but we have already had the idea of what kind of fantasy setting theyre going for. top tier background setting.
second, i can see how this webtoon can go on for hundreds of episodes and tenths of seasons because of the carefully omitted info about the power and political play it has. think of it like tv shows. season 1 focuses on character intro, those being the fuckheads of agriches and a pedelian boy toy, second seasons clan clash between the 2 families, third, other families got introduced to join the fray, fourth conflict expansion, etc so on so forth. top tier sequencing.
third CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE PROTAGONIST? seriously the only lame thing is that this is isekai. 3 chapters in i had forgotten that roxanne was transported into a novel because BOY DID SHE BODY THIS. i really like her character. ruthless, calculating, and again the writer omits just the right amount of roxanne to the readers especially in accordance to her relationship with the mother was she genuinely disgusted by her weak mother? was she putting up such a good act at trying to get her mother away from danger? just her relationship with her mother alone you get to know the many facets of roxanne, shes so vibrant and her personality is 3dimensional. top tier characterization pt.1.
fourth, the agriches fuckheads. they can do a spinoff anthology on each of the many members of the family and itd make a GOOD and entertaining dark comedy 4-koma. clever to choose that the family member is so extensive it adds possible surprise in the future. each already introduced family member doesnt lack depth too. none of them are singleminded (only evil/only twisted) they are all an imprint of real humans and how they can have many faces at the same time. top tier characterization pt. 2.
last will be an omnibus of small things id like to appreciate. firstly, the art; GORGEOUS and befitting. secondly, the pacing; gosh author really took their time to nuance everything in every panels. thirdly; the fact that even without cassis, the story still have a foundation and roxanne still has a personality, goal, and everything. FOURTH AND LAST, BUTTERFLIES! im so fascinated by the choice of using poisonous butterflies as a pivotal tool, and how metal is it that they feed off you and your already laden-with-poison body?? magnificent.
