Alice and that finance (who is btw the real ML) love each other - but Alice doesnt know that he is the person that she loves. The fiancee loves Alice, he knows Alice is the woman that he loves too *they were under disguise when they met and fell in love*. He thinks of Valrose as a little sister, but this whole marriage is kinda unavoidable since either of them need to find marriage partners at some points so I guess they at least want companionships.
