You did say we could explain why we like these characters, but I’m about to go full paragraph mode, so feel free to ignore my rants, girlie. You’re about to face the Great Wall of Text below: 'Asagiri' from 'Kimi No Yokogao Wo Miteita' [Calling him a second lead doesn’t feel quite fair since every character reads like a main. Still, Hikari i......

For me, it's Woori from Secret inside my head. Everyone loved this clumsy yearner so much, nobody even gave two shits about the ML. And apparently, that must not have sat well with the author because I feel like she's gonna be destroying Woori's character... My poor himbo...

Give me all the second leads you wish had won instead of the ML/FL, or just second leads you loved in general. And if you want, tell me why you love them! I adore hearing people gush about the characters they like.

Give me all the shoujo sweethearts you adore, whether it’s one, two, or a whole list, I’d really appreciate it. Lately, I feel like I can only enjoy a story if I know the main characters are genuinely good. If the characters are great, I’ll eat it up no matter how bad the plot is. And right now, I’m really craving some shoujo mangas sooo........

Ugh, authors always go this route. They just have to make the second lead, who everyone actually likes, problematic at some point, or ruin their character entirely just to uplift the male lead. Like, if you want to show off how great your ML is, then give him real character development. Why drag others down just to leverage him?
