This is actually good. It’s a proper story with a good storyline and a right pacing. Maybe people are used to an accelerated pacing, but usually in english novels and such, this is how usually it goes. The pairing is not forced, it shows how relationships are bonded in real life and there’s a reason for everything. No one is acting cringe, and just a right amount of ragebait (for me). The FL is not necessarily weak, she fights back despite having no power in the household. I like how they show MLs weaknesses too; makes him more relatable. Overall, I find myself immersed in this. I feel bad for people who don’t have a grain of attention span to tolerate these kinds of stories anymore: it’s rather telling. But that’s just my opinion

I like the ML. He certainly has character. He’s focused, passionate in a cool way, a bit dense but playful, family-oriented, gentle, caring, and too much of a workaholic. I also think he’s refreshing from other MLs where they’re cold but suddenly develops a romantic interest in the FL with little to no explanation. I’m glad we can see his train-of-thought without cringing, showing how “human” he is. I certainly like their dynamic with the FL; it’s fun to see the FL chase after dense ML without too much of an angst.

So sad. I wish the ML stood up to his mother more and protected the FL when he had the chance. I understand he is busy with state affairs but if he was willing to sacrifice his life to save her, he should’ve put more effort from the start no matter how exhausting it is. He returned her anxieties with no reassurance whatsoever, only disdain. Surely as the emperor he can cast aside the toxic mother, as he did when he lost his memory. He’s a piece of shit for sending her to die with poison. A failure of a husband.
It’s so refreshing to find a female lead who’s so straightforward and no-bullshit. I was getting tired of those characters who make problems out of nothing. Their situations are so relatable that it made me wanna cry. the heartache is so good. But anyway, Na Seungwon is unfortunately my type. Girl if u dont want him, give him to me ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
