I empathize with her having to meet someone so gifted surpass your effort, but with how the girl was teaching her, it’s sad that she can’t put her pride away. I learned that when someone knows something better than you, rather than wallowing in insecurity and self-pity, it’s better to learn from that person. There are just some things you just can’t beat from the get go, so girlie learn what you can !! Not everything is a contest, sometimes knowledge is just knowledge—it’s something shared among people.
And also, maybe I’m just too thick-faced: if the guy is so loaded he can afford to give her a separate card, i’d say take a loan from him.
