Nobody said Chan-il is flawless. Everybody has flaws. But it is evident so far into the story that Chan-il is genuinely a good person, more so a good friend. He has been nothing but kind to Cirrus and Skylar and I believe he deserves only loyalty, both in friendship and romantic relationships. I wouldn't blame it at all if he ever loses it due to his goodness being tested. I fear that event is coming.

And I don't remember seeing many scenes between Chan-il and Ri-in or the development of their relationship (makes sense because they're only side characters). I honestly even forgot how they got together cause it's been so long lol. I will just cross my fingers and wait to see Cirrus and Ri-in's respond instead

from my experience and perspective reading this, he definitely was "tricked" into the relationship. He didn't want to lose his childhood best friend and basically felt pressured to accept whatever the other dude wanted them to be/become. At no point in the story did I see an indication that he had romantic feelings for the seme.. he came off as pretty straight the whole time, until the seme gave him an ultimatum. That's my thoughts
