I did a quick search so I might be wrong. But to put it simply men and women kept their hair long because it was seen as a gift from their parents. Also for men cutting your hair was seen as barbaric and made you seem antisocial.

From what I know in ancient times it's a sign of longevity so they don't cut it so they have long lives I think.

her dad and paternal grandmother are real because her mother really married his father and she's truly their biological daughter.

hm saying this, her brother is actually also of wumiao blood! unfortunately wumiao favor women and he probably won't have status or get involved with that side.

it's her mother who was adopted, so the maternal grandparents are not blood related to her. however the maternal grandma is the best grandma how ironic.

in the past there were 3 friends: maternal grandma, the real queen empress dowager, and the wumiao woman. the wumiao woman had a twins and only brought one baby back to the clan. so the maternal grandma adopted the other baby (Ah Si's mom). the other baby in the clan grew up and had a daughter which was the dead priestess (and Ah Si's cousin).

What confused me a bit is the timeline ig. It seems after the wumiao woman returned with a baby to the clan, she returned back and killed the real empress dowager and impersonate her. to be clearer, she killed the woman BEFORE she went to the palace and became the empress. So tbh her becoming empress dowager was kinda her own skill (and wumiao help too). I understand why she didn't want to let the power go.

However it's a bit unclear to me why she dislikes Ah Si so much maybe it's because she disliked her other daughter(?)

tbh I thought it was another wumiao woman who impersonate the queen dowager. it's just seem like it was another person when it's explained before(??) so i also confused.

she's just the chieftess, totally another woman. Hm you thought she was the grandmother? Nope lol, no one ever said that. She probably never left the clan before this. Hm maybe the confusion is from there? maybe in the past chapter somehow it's implied she's the grandma so we both become confused

So the one who knows the empress dowager is the FL grandmother (she adopted the FL mother) and empress dowager is the biological mother of the FL’s mother, she became the empress because as explained Wumaoi intended to replace the empress but the replacement died and they decided to use the FL grandmother because she was the one who trained the (now dead) imposter. And the other grandmother (the short one with white hair) the one that’s greedy is the FL fathers mother (which is her grandmother) hence the FL has technically 3 grandmothers, one not biological, two is biological.

Also the empress dowagar wanted Fl dead because FL resembles her mother(her other daughter), but the Empress dowagar thinks her other daughter who was weak didn't survive hench why she abandoned her with her friend.

Because she thinks the "weak" daughter must be dead, she didnt like FL's mother who reminded her of her living daughter and had her love/ marriage twarted to send her away.
But Fl's mother ended up marrying an official and again entered ED's sight who had her killed, because Fl's mother reminded her to much of her alive daughter and would affect her mission.

In short ED killed Fl's mother, her second daughter but didn't know it was her second daughter.

This is also why ED hated FL when she married the prince, because she looks so much like their "priestess/saint" so she wanted FL dead to. In short ED gets rid of / removes anyone who reminds her of what she left behind for her mission ( her daughter and granddaughter) and ends up killing her second daughter and trying to kill her second grandaughter Fl.

The clan desides to help FL because she is the true priestess / saintess ( her cussing who she resembles had no talent), and because ED never informed the clan she had twins and left one behind who ended up birthing the true priestess/ saint whom ED has then tried to kill. (This has made her actions a danger to the clan, hench they are cutting her off and helping to her demise).

Thank you wonderful person. For me just the basics like if she's the strongest magician why doesn't she want to use her powers? And if the world was destroyed prior what happened to her? Other little stuff too

She doesn’t want to use her powers because she’s an official lazy person I'm guessing? Like, she rather not use them if she doesn’t have to. She occasionally abuses her powers (for fun) but she’s strong af so who wouldn’t?

And for the world having been previously destroyed… maybe it’s because it’s been a while since i read that chapter but I don’t think we’ve been told what happened to her yet.

1st question: trauma, her dad died saving people even though he clearly has no chance of surviving or doing much it doesn’t help that people were taking granted of him and saying “as he should be, are you a hunter? Get out and save us’ yada yada, at the time she was sick and needed his presence more than anything, left all alone surrounded by monsters outside the building, already anxious enough but he dad leaving adds on to it. When he died only with her family knowing what he did, she doesn’t see being a hunter as a great thing, “just because I have power doesn’t mean I’m obliged to save people? Not like I choose to have power” and now I must to save people and risk my life because they said so and take granted of it ?” Plus at the funeral her mother also said to make a promise to her that she wouldn’t do anything like being a hunter. While she see being a hunter as a trauma as a reminder that doing good won’t mean much her brother saw his father death as a motivation to become a hunter to make sure nothing like that happened again because hunters were late.

Second question: unknown we just know that according to the reincarnator that in the world that has been destroyed, she just oversee everything like a king, what she actually didor what happened after it’s a mystery. Just know that her brother were on the front line and she appeared once to help him
