I wouldn't say so, I think he's a pretty decent character. That is if you can handle a decent amount of forced humour and cringe- But he's not too bad like the ukes I know you're probably thinking about. As far as the webtoon is, he has kinda made up his mind?

The uke has to have sex (more or less) with them both for a while, but settles for one eventually when he realises he has feelings for him as well. The other one isn't heartbroken (actually he's lowkey kind of a scheming ass anyway)- but he is a little sad ig

Because it keeps place in an age that murdering is not a horrible issue especially if that person is your manservant so people have their own moralities according to the age that they live in??? Btw, I am not defending murder but have you ever read history? It's full of men killing each other so it's kinda wrong that you judging historical characters by today's morality. Though it's weird that he killed him for a trivial thing

It’s fiction so who cares? ╮(￣▽￣)╭ Let people love what they love as long as it doesn’t harm anybody. Not everyone likes fluffy, pure and wholesome characters and they find crazy, manipulative characters like the seme interesting. It’s personal preference/taste, it doesn’t have to make sense to you or anyone. Who are we to dictate what other people like or shouldn’t like??

I also typically don't like those kinds of characters because even if they are liked by others, it can still convey the message that relationships that are twisted and messed up are hot and "healthy" in their own way. This is mainly the case for works where the manipulative character is conniving throughout the work without any character development whatsoever and the main character still falls for them (take the story "Stalking Game" for example, where it would be really messed up if the main character fell in love with his stalker just because he has a tragic backstory and a hot appearance). With this manga, however, I feel as if the author is introducing the potential love interest as a cold-hearted, hedonistic person so that his eventual relationship with the main character will lead to outstanding character development and (hopefully) a healthy love! Of course, it could just completely be a smut yaoi and throw all of that out the window, but only updates will tell ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Come on, this is in NO WAY trying to be an accurate depiction of that era. The "but this how life was back then" argument only works when the author puts an emphasis on the fact that the rules were different back then.
Otherwise the same thing could be said about the teacher: his disdain for lower ranking people (Yoon shows the same disdain towards Na-kyum btw) comes from his education and the systemic social hierarchy, his blatent homophobia was normal (and still is in Korea) at the time and his conniving manners is only a way to survive in an hostile environment. By "historical" standards of moral the teacher is still "better" than Yoon, which is what LALALAND meant with their comment...

And Yoon killing his servant was really freaking stupid, the guy found the painter, he did a good job!
Even back then killing your servant randomly wasn't really accepted, especially considering that he wasn't a mere servant as he was wearing a gat (the traditional hats), only educated and/or high ranking men were allowed to wear those.

So we can say that for the Guru too. He was raised to think that a relationship between two men is "prohibido". Who's guru anyways what I am missing here? If you're talking about the glasses guy, he is so boring and fake like you said and that's why he's not attractive even a little bit. I also think there's nothing wrong with liking a character because they're hot but in this case, what makes the seme attactive is both his careless, strong and interesting character and his look of course.
