Kinda. But I recommend reading the whole thing. There are details left out in the comic that you will find in the novel and or there is stuff added in the comic that aren't in the novel. So it'll just make more sense if you read it bc small things can make it confusing. And the comic is pretty spot on to the novel, sometimes even better.
