Yeah but when they don’t have human ears that also seems weird to me. I keep thinking like; “just animal ears? How does it look someone with short hair? Like they don’t have any ears just skin..weird. How does people with glasses wear glasses? Maybe like snorkel? That must hurt their head a while later.. some animal mangas have birds and birds don’t have ears (at least visible) then how does it look with someone with short hair? They would only have holes.. Disgusting? Definitely weird.” You get the idea lol

Nope all of this is to put the author on a difficult spot and make up some rules for the ears ! Like birds. I like to draw bird characters with feathers around the earwhole that would look like a regular ear, since birds ears have some feathers sticking around them to hide them and protect them. Also about the glasses, there is a band not like a storkel that would mash your head and make it feel unconfortable, that just tie around the skull and perfectly stableises the glasses. I've seen many people wear that. Or if the glasses still look unstable you can just add an extra band and they will stick to the face like a mask(not like a divers mask but more like a carnival mask).
Also the thing about short hair. Ears do not stick completely on the top of the skull but are a bit to the sides as well in animals. I usually just avoid shaved hair on my animal eared characters for the reason of it not looking that aesthetically pleasing. But you can find your way around that if you think enough.
Does this explanation satisfy your worries?

For me still not really lol I wear glasses and have shaved hair so I mostly think about how I would look and it's just hahaha ╥﹏╥ And the whole idea of not having human ears is kind of.. idk it's not like I hate it, it makes more sense obviously and it sure can look more good but its just my preference i guess?

I still think you are being pretty concervative...i've seen a lot of art and it seams much more normal than this that looks like they straped animal ears on their heads...well whatever just....manga tend to take one thing and not step out of any confort zones and I came to hate that lately like: why always nekogirls/boys? Why not some bears or fantasy creatures. That type of thing. I put the thing with the ears in the same category of confort zone type of thing. I do not support concervative and repetitive stuff but I'll have to respect the fact that you think like this is best for you. However that won't change my views a bit since I tend to look at designs in a more artistic and biologicaly explained waymore than anything. Have a good day.
