The fuckass AI translated Yeowoon's dialogue as merely "disappointed" which didn't sit right with me bc why would Jigu have such a strong reaction to that? So I went and checked the novel EVEN THO I WANTED TO READ IT AFTER THE MANHWA IS FINISHED and of course, the tl was incorrect. Mint went the same route as the novel tl WHICH MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE, ofc Yeowoon was disappointed but his feelings are deeper than just that, so "hurt" is the correct tl and DOES explain Jigu's reaction. Jigu's a big idiot who doesn't understand things unless you tell him directly, so hearing he's hurt his pookie OF COURSE HE'S GONNA REACT LIKE THAT WAAAAAAAAAA THEY'RE SO IN LOVE I WANNA ROAST THEM LIKE MARSHMALLOWS and then and then, it's been established that Yeowoon likes Jigu's crying and embarrassed face but seeing this new expression....... (many such cases translating from kr-eng and it's so fucking annoying ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ )
it's a softer feeling of being let down by someone close but it doesn't really have the negative bitterness that comes with straight up "disappointment". sometimes it *can* be translated that way or I think “a little let down" is quite appropriate too, but in this scenario I thought it fit more to put “hurt”

Yeah translation is hard especially between two languages that have nothing in common whatsoever Korean is what I’d call an “efficient” language and it can fit in many meanings in a short sentence that takes maybe 2 sentences to convey in English. That’s why the sentences get so long sometimes lol. Korean also has double the amount of words/vocabulary as English so many things just do not translate very easily. Even when comparing Kr raw to the official Eng translation, about 20% of the original meaning has to be cut sometimes to make it sound natural in English. I mourn for that 20% but sometimes I have no choice┗( T﹏T )┛
