So I get what happened in the final chapter, I think. But, was what happened to Gusam (how he ended up a murder suspect) ever fully explained? I only remember him saying that he doesn't remember anything and woke up with blood everywhere. We never found out the whole story on that?
And then K's role in the story never becomes clear? He was built up to be more important, but then nothing happened?
Or did I miss something on both of these.
Also what happened with the one detective in the end was great.

So, everyone is saying that the ending is really sad, traumatic, heartbreaking, etc., and that it ends by Gusam and Suchae ending their lives together, would you mind telling me how they did it?
As to answer your question, I honestly can't say much given that I'm 10-11 chapters from finishing, but I agree, there doesn't seem to be much of a backstory to those questions. Also, may I ask what happened to the detective?

Gusam and Suchae committed suicide together by drowning in the ocean. It looks like they held each other's hand and tied a rope around it, on top of wearing backpacks (probably filled with w.e to make it heavy). The two detectives (I don't remember their names), along with a team, show up to try to stop them. The one that's a jerk tries to shoot them, but is stopped by the other officers. The nicer one tries to talk them out of suicide, but it gets derailed. Both Gusam and Suchae know that there's no going back at this point. Regardless if what Gusam's accused of is true or not, Suchae actually murdered someone by the end (he almost gets raped by someone, and Suchae killed the guy while fighting him off, I guess out of panic; not shown in the chapters posted here). Remember the Gusam lookalike that the jerk detective tortured the crap out of? He shows up and has the jerk detective pinned and either stole the detectives gun or had one of his own, I don't remember for sure. That guy is angry and vengeful towards the detective, and rightfully so. There's a bang, and a big wave comes in. The Gusam lookalike is covered in blood (assumed he shot the detective), and we see Gusam and Suchae's feet under the water. It flashes back to the granny they stayed with, and she's sad and worried about the two. She hopes that they're happy, and it flashes back to showing Gusam and Suchae running on the beach. It's heavily implied that they're both dead and happy in the afterlife.
Dang, this is intense! Now that I know about the ending, hopefully I'll be able to read it now without my heart weighing as much as it did just from hearing about it. I seriously appreciate it, thank you!
