Agreed. I have deduced it when they stated that the curse was lifted when Alejandro met, became friends and eventually fell inlove with the princess. I think it's all about love and affection and care that will free him from the curse, regardless of who gives it to him. It just have to be mutual in a sense. Anyway, loving all of what's happening here! Well, not much for the mental and psychological abuse but that's necessary for the story to progress the way it is. Made me cry though. Haha.
