"Jasper, who is so proud, wouldn't admit his feelings first."
I beg to differ.
"And I wouldn't like Jasper."
And that’s a lie. You already know he's sh*t at math and he doesn't find magical engineering interesting. You pointed out yourself that he doesn't have to take more than the class he failed. Put two and two together, girl. You're blind because you have worries you shouldn't have because your dad's crap.
As for it working out or not, we haven't seen Jasper need to buy anything (except maybe the expo tickets.) He doesn't seem to spend frivolously. He is in a prime position to throw away his title since he's the second son with an abusive older brother. Like Rose said at the beginning: completing an academy education near guarantees a job. Might he regret it later? Maybe. Depends on how successful Rose becomes, as she's passionate and excels at what she wants to be (aka, I think she would make more than him.) We haven't seen him have ambition besides wanting to make her happy and being caught in a loveless marriage. He has a body that could stand up to labor, if nothing else.

I have to get this out of my head because it's been rattling around since Hound showed up.
I love how out of the three brothers, Roxant was like, "1, 2, 3 not gay."
I love how nonchalant same sex relations are treated; even Vivian's uptight, no-good nosy dad wasn't upset that his daughter was pursuing a woman but that it was /the/ Noah Hildebrand (though he still wanted her to get over it and marry a man because dude wants alliances.) I'm not gay but I am tired of it being a character's one trait in media or a scandalous source of tension.
Everyone feels so fleshed out and the misunderstandings are usually resolved quickly instead of lingering past their due date (Roxant is trying his best and is so close to telling her the truth and it's understandable why he's having a problem saying it.) Just, ugh, *chef's kiss* so glad I am here reading this.

"The human calf doesn't explode that easily."
I knew someone in college whose Achilles tendon snapped off her calcaneous in her sleep. She woke up screaming and had to wear a cast for six months. They couldn't figure out why it had happened.
Just something I think about every now and then.

That’s what happened to my friends knee, just kinda exploded one day and dislocated while he was walking and no one could figure out what had happened either despite a lot of testing. Was stuck in a cast for nearly half a year before he was fully healed. Took longer than it should’ve because of like constant fluid buildup or something that got in the way of the healing process

The comments after ch 90: "No don't touch a hair on him! I will come into that fictional world and end anyone that tries to harm him! He cannot catch a break!"
Me: "Hey look, the door is open. He's cracked this guy's skull in before and yeah, he doesn't feel good right now but THE DOOR IS OPEN!"
That dumb*ss once again thinking only with his d*ck doesn't have the blood flow to his brain to remember he doesn't have the strength to overpower him AND he has left open a way to escape...I mean, is revenge worth it to be locked in there with him? No? Then why are you going to attempt it and leave an opportunity for him to get out of the situation?
I smell a cat. Because of the story, it might be a dog. However, we haven't had a cat teasing story yet.
I am sorry I didn't mean to dislike your comment it just did the opposite I wanted to do my phone cliche. I am betting that it is cat too but yeah it might be a dog since we haven't seen any cats in the story not even in the background. Again sorry for thumb down
Hey, it happens. We've all done it. They're so small, after all.
But as someone with cats that claim our house as their territory and dogs across the street, I have seen cats tease dogs all the time. This is an anti-hero arc starting.
We actually have ran into a cat before. When Myeongdong got lost, Dana ran into a cat that resembled him.
