I understand why you're confused.First the tan boi and the white hair girl must have some kind of relations in the past because she used to go to the library where she often see him there so there must be some kind of stuff that we still don't know and the reason why she isn't questioning his motives is because he is the king.So she though the king(sultan) can have whatever he like.Everything in his country inculding people belong to him.She also has some kind truma with the late king(ig?i'm not sure).The late king slap her cause she refused him.She stayed in the harem for 11 years and she's pretty much sick of her life.She's like you can do whatever you want i'm just a lowly girl from the fram who's going to die anyway.
