I think so, I’ve seen this happen a lot in adaptations and I think it’s for character consistency and to help avoid confusion, but idk it’s always more confusing to me
Yes. He had black hair before he disappeared in the rift. After he came back from the rift his hair was white, but he didn't want to stand out, so he started dyeing it black. The period in which his hair was white was quite short and it's the same in the novel
I thought he also had lighter hair pre-rift in the novel but I could be misremembering

I'm confused about Shin, why does him finding out Jake isn't a gangster is a bad thing? Isn't that supposed to be the opposite?
He‘s not angry that Jake isn’t a gangster, he‘s angry because he was deceived and had his trust broken.
It's the lying, a relationship cannot be built on a lie that big. Also it seems like it was a big deal to Shin that both him and Jake were ‘trash’, both just people living a rough life, so i imagine now finding out Jake was actually some big shot CIA agent is a punch in the gut.
