I honestly like Jinyeong more and I get that we as readers feel betrayed, after seeing the backstory it feels like the trauma was repeating. But the difference is Jinyeong never denied Jihan, he even stands up against his mother. Also he‘s been going after Jihan for a way longer time and doesn‘t give up even when Jihan brings another guy. I‘m sorry but I just think he gets unnecessary hate because of one action. I really like how sweet he is to Jihan and as we could see, Jihan actually liked him too.
He did deny him, right then and there in front of that woman. If he was setup by his mother on that date and really cared for Jihan then he wouldn’t have disregarded him the way he did which only deepened Jihan’s trauma. It’s also not just one action, he’s not sweet, he’s a selfish rich dude who thinks money is the solution to everything and who doesn’t even do aftercare. I caused your phone to break because I wanted to be a brat? No problem, I got daddy’s money so I’ll get you a new one! Ruined your clothes? I got you but first I will fuck you without considering if that’s what you even wanted or not. I feel jealous because you’re giving attention to another guy? Let me disregard your feelings yet again and touch and try to fuck you all I want whether you like it or not. I’m sorry but that’s a hard pass for me. I would rather have someone genuine and honest like Heeseop who’s sweet to me because he loves me and doesn’t force himself on me plus actually does aftercare than someone who does selfish things making them look sweet just because he wants a piece of my ass.

And the FL has like no backbone in my opinion, i want to see the hate and the despair in her eyes she has for this man. If i was lied to from the start and find out what he did, i will be so angry and depressed. 3 years gone to waste, on this garbage of a human. And honestly i dont think he regrets shit, no apology, no nothing, acting cocky, ignores her pain like nothing happend, and wants to win her over.THE AUDACITY!!! Start with a conversation about her feelings, what she had to go through, the betrayal FUKIN APOLOGIES, earn her forgiveness and THEEEN win her over via convincing her you love or loved her from the start.

to be honest ? same. just the way you described it. if this was done to me, i’d overflow with emotion. but i think thats the point. the FL has dignity. no mater the situation, she always managed elegantly, and so is the ML. both know how to keep emotions under the wrap and its almost like a game, who is going to reveal their emotions first. if readers hat more insight in their thoughts i think this would be more obvious that they’re playing almost like mind games on who will loose their cool first. but this is just my observation
