Ren circles back to that time in Canada.
That was when Ren first lived with Haru. After he confessed, Ren went back to Canada. Haru followed him to Canada and they were there for maybe a year, I think. Ren went to camp and Haru was gone when he returned. Haru showed up the next morning with wrinkled clothes smelling like women.
That part always bothered me. You chased after Ren because you loved him but then still want to drown yourself in women when he was gone because it was the anniversary of the accident. It always felt like cheating to me.

Haru and Ren (around 12/13 at the time?) weren't truly going out back then so I don't see it the same way but that's interesting that you do lol I think Haru/Ren relationship back then was more like Haru was trying to protect his ward. It was back in a time when Haru didn't quite understand his blossoming feelings for Ren.

This story rips me a part. I can't get over what was stoke from Yumi and Kan-chan. I just can't. That little bit at the beginning did me in.
They're the couple I've always wanted to be together and I hate that they can't. It didn't have to be that way. To see how it deteriorated when it didn't have to. To see the life drain out of both when it didn't have to. To see Kan-chan go from a happy loving promising guy to a monster kills me because it didn't have to be that way.
