I just finished the anime. It was good but I wanted to know if there was more of their story together after the exchanging of rings at the end of the anime?
Also, is there any answers to why her father abandoned them? That pisses me off so much. He left to what? To protect his son? What about protecting his daughter? His wife? He chose one of the other. How could he do that!?! Why would he do that!?! That never made sense to me.
Does she ever get to meet her brother or see her father again?
the manga is still ongoing so we can expect more moments between chise and elias. The new arc focuses more on the school aspect and not too much on the relationship but you still see them understand each other bit by bit. As for the father, I think we're going to encounter that reason in the future.
Before the father leaves you can see a weird creature outside on the balcony. He also almost takes chise with him but instead promises to come back for her soon. I think he was trying to save them from something after him and since his son had a similar feel he had to take him as well. Sadly since the mother killed herself from what appears to be a spirit that was whispering into her ear to kill chise he wouldn't be able to find her if he did come back.
It just doesn't feel right. We don't see any of the things you mention. He doesn't seem frustrated but worried. And his wording is important. The way he is portrayed just doesn't fit the "can't go on" kinda thing. Also it's always the same thing on that balcony when he looks at it. He looks worried when looking at it too.plus you saw what happened with chise's mother. She was portrayed as bad at first but when we actually see her in flashbacks she's nice or something else is going on. I think it's the same with the father. The thing on the balcony wasn't after chise or her mother but the father. We don't see the same creature appear after the father leaves with his son after all. It's way to suspicious to be the simple answer of the father getting tired and leaving. Since the author doesn't show anything that outright says that the father is trying tired of this it means that there is something more. The author wants you to think he left because he was trying tired of it but since that is false they didn't leave any concrete evidence. Just what chise thinks happened. Plus he didn't lash out, argue, or act mean to chise and her mother. When you think about it it's obvious the author is trying to misdirect us until the truth is revealed.
Maybe I'm slow, but I never understood the flashbacks with the guy in white.
Why did he all the sudden abandon his friend like that and then why did he turn evil?
Also, he still never wanted to make a soul contract. He only did it to save the world. He was forced to do it not because he wanted to which makes me so sad.
It was made on a bet and I never understood the bet. Can someone explain any of these things to me please?
Always making decisions on his own thinking he knows what's best even after they tell him what they want. I hate these scenarios.
It will backfire just like it did with the girls and he will realize again how wrong he was. Such unnecessary angst.
Fuck that woman. Pulling that shit!! They're 20. She nor him can tell them what to do or where to go. They are both acting like it's their choice what to do for the twins when it isn't; not even close. Ahhhhhh!
I was lost for most of the story.
I liked the characters and their relationships but the story line was all over the place for me. I couldn't keep up and felt there was stuff missing.
This was more a Shounen ai than yaoi and more focus was put on the other couples than the main one. The only second couple I cared most about was the possibility of the baraon and mono. I was sad to not see that go anywhere and then to just have it left hanging.
Kind of disappointment because it has so much potential. Oh well.

I never understood what him and his bf who killed himself were actually fighting about.
They were so happy and then all the sudden they wasn't.
He started having issues with alcohol and then they had a fight to the point of saying such a terrible thing about dying for him out of the blue so he kills himself.
Where did all that come from? Can someone help me understand please.
They never really said what the fight was about, but I remember in one part in the manga Mafuyu mentioned that it was a normal kind of fight yet Yuki, who never drank, had drank that night before killing himself. Mafuyu and Yuki had also been arguing a lot since Yuki started working and devoting a lot of his time and attention towards music. Hopefully this answer was helpful. :)
It's odd..., we did get a tidbit of dialogue in one of the chapters when Yuki and Mafuyu were fighting. Yuki said "why don't you believe me?!....I can't live without you!!" and then Mafuyu said "then would you die for me?", I think it was more or less just a careless and thoughtless words he said and Yuki then got depressed after the fight, drank alcohol and then killed himself not in the right mind. Back then, Mafuyu was somewhat the emotionless and not expressive type and couldn't say what he wanted to say truly which caused a huge misunderstanding, maybe he wanted attention, maybe he wanted to hang out with Yuki instead of the band/music, but instead it was small bicker but became like that.
i think it was because yuki was spending so much time doing music
i dont think that itself was the reason but the fact that yuki tried to do it alone
those two were always together and completely joined at the hip but yuki probably started spending less and less time with mafuyu, even if it was to present mafuyu with a song he made from his mindless humming
as their other childhood friend said, mafuyu probably wanted yuki to say "let's write the song together" and felt left out and maybe like yuki was pulling away from him
and the thing with "then can you go die for me" was probably in a fit of sudden rage in that instance bc yuki just /didnt understand/
like 'if you really cant live without me then prove it to me'
well those are my thoughts :'D
