I liked it until chapter 6. When it turned out to be true that he did hook up with other guys, it was over for me.
Not cool.

They weren’t in a relationship. No commitment so no betrayal and him saying that was his way of letting him know this wasn’t that kind of situation. It doesn’t make for the perfect story for how two ppl end up together but the road ppl take to be together isn’t always straight. They just took a short detour is all.

These type of omegaverse stories make me so anxious.
I prefer the ones where once they pair, even the alpha can't smell anyone else's pheromones. Just as the omega will only have an affect on their mate and not other alphas.
I also really feel that when the alpha is in their rut and the omega is in heat, that the alpha gets to do the fucking. That's just me.

I'm watching the donghua right now. I'm on season 2.
Maybe the donghua will explain or not. I'm going to ask just in case.
Why the hell did exelent era turn on him? He is one of the founders with his friend who passed and the uncle tao (I think that's his name. The one who funded them and named it after his cafe they worked in).
Why did tao become a dick?? Please tell me what happened!!

There's a couple of things that leads up to this.
1 being Ye Xie is strict with his player, when Ye was captain he didn't think Liu Hao was fit to being a vice captain, that caused Liu Hao to make problems with the rest of the members, and the team became dusfunctional on game nights. When Excelent Era kept losing Ye Xie as the captain had to take the blame.
Another part is, Tao Xuan started the sponsoring of the team to get money. And because Ye Xie never did any promotional things, being the most famous player, Tao Xuan lost alot of money. Im guessing after 8 years it slowly build up resentment.
Apart from that, they are scared shit of him returning to the scene, because then there will be questions about why he decided to retire. And, they know of his skills. They know he personally wasn't the problem but the synergy of the team. Changing him for Sun Xiang was also a choice of promotional boost.

The truth doesn't officially get out to the public, Ye Xie doesn't want that himself, since he still loves what the team stands for and doesn't want to see the name being tarnished. But Excellent Era boss has spun so many lies to keep fans and save himself, that the public has started to notice something isn't right.

That makes sense. He also founded the company and loves the game. I wouldn't it want it drug through the mud either.
I hate that they made him a villian.
The mini movie they made that showed the friend dying hurt so much. They were close and there for each other and continued on because that friend would want it.
Ugh, so disappointed. At least that's something.
Did he stop loving him as a boyfriend when he started getting hit?
If he'd never been hit, do you think they would have stayed together or would yumi eventually end up with the other guy?
This story has been a bitter ride. Even though it's ended, I don't feel satisfied.
I base this off my own experience so it's subjective-- yes, I believe Yumi still loved him regardless of the beatings. It's not so simple to fall out of love with someone you truly care about, especially when there's history there like these two had. Again, speaking from experience, I knew that what was happening wasn't right, but there was always that hope that he would return to how it was before.
Wondering what would have happened if Yumi never got hit is kinda moot imo. They are the people they are now because of what happened.
You are right.
I just can never let go. It's always what if, what could have been, maybe type thinking for me.
