Are the character’s morally grey? Yes, we’re being shown time and time again that the character’s view points (or actions) aren’t black or white. That’s pretty obvious. However, it’s not entirely wrong to criticize MLs behavior??? Does his behavior have layers to it? Yes, of fucking course it does. You can acknowledge his backstory AND motive while also criticizing his current actions towards MC. I thought that was common practice when it comes reading? Yes, he’s from a different time period. Yes, he’s traumatized due to being locked away for decades by his once lover. But people can still point out that “hey, Bihwan forcing his beliefs on MC every second MC breaths is sorta fucked, right?” ISN’T THEM HATING ON ML BECAUSE HE’S MORALLY GRAY OR TRAUMATIZED?! Hell, even MC has faults that can also be pointed out.

Nah fr like you can understand that a character is complex and like you said morally grey and not excuse everything they do because of it. Honestly it shows a lot about the authors talent, I love dokkaebi and I feel bad for him at the same time but also can accept that hes selfish and an aloof pos at times and needs to change. It feels natural this is literally how we judge close ones on a day to day basis
