I think he fell for her during the chase and probably after he died. That scene where she couldn't touch the sword and her saying she wanted to touch it made me think that whatever reason they were connected? Maybe ml was attached to the sword as a ghost and basically saw everything. I think I've read a story like that before where the fl saw her cold husband go absolutely deranged after her death and she followed him around as a ghost (obviously a BE)

Haha I just felt like I haven't cried in a while and felt kind of numb so I went ahead and read short tragedies because those are the saddest for some reason. Especially with a seasoning of regret

I don't think so. It was mostly likely a long time before that. Maybe it was love at ifrst sight at that ball he mentionned. Because otherwhise I don't understand why he kept her alive when she was finally arrested. He might have a good heart and knew she didn't do it volontarily, as she was controlled by the sword, but at that point she had already killed so many people. Any logical leader would have executed her, especially when she was already way beyond saving. Yet he kept her alive and emprisoned her? He even went to see her and all. That doesn't make any sense to risk his men's safety and lives just to give a chance to a stranger... Unless he already had some feelings for her. In the end he gambled with their lives and lost
Hania may only have a few appearances but she's definitely my favorite along granpapi dragon. She reminds me of that one Barbara meme.

Considering how murim groups/clans/associations exists in most hunter manhwas, I find it fascinating that we're viewing it from within this group and not just some modern mc. They're usually a very intersting bunch in hunter stories so I kind of find the mix of modern and murim aesthetic to be quite fun.
