There's a chance that one of the brothers pushed Eunil down the balcony. Chances can be Jeheon pushed him down and blamed on Pilwoo and the family decided to blind sidedly take Jeheon's side and pushed Pilwoo away from there family and for that Pilwoo holds the resentment probably without even knowing what happened.
