tips for scoring chinese language???

firstly ik this is like a weird place to ask but i KNOW some of yall are actually academic winners here (like me /hj) So any tips in scoring basic, level 1 chinese? Are there any better apps besides duolingo for self study? (I do use duo but im trying to get more resources)
