a tiny part of me was hoping for henry and richard to live happily ever after (in a little cottage shrouded in trees far away from politics where they can happily drink warm soup and take care of their boar whitey), but you can only hope for so much from a tragedy :,(

Personally, I'm against marriage (in real life ) so I don't support this argument but I think: she has an issue with marriage because of the possibility of losing her name but she never hated marriage....now as for why that garbage guy in specific ? I think she realizes that she is a threat to most guys' fragile ego and he is the first guy to approach her as a woman. Yes, she knows he isn't sincerely in love with her but she might be thinking "thus is as good as this can get". Being from a horrible family and craving familial love might be pushing her to settle down.
