I love this story, I love the plot. I thought lancelot was gonna be a love rival but it seems that he will be portrayed as a brother. I mean... can I have him? Lmao hahahaha

To those who are disappointed with her contemplating. its actually a good realistic character being portrayed.
Although she loves leslie, she is not selfish enough to sacrifice the masses(citizens) because of her own self-interest. She is also a duchess, a person who is a shield for their kingdom. I’m pretty sure she trust and love leslie leslie but because of lack of information regarding that box she is afraid.

Cause you know, you can’t go to a war empty handed.

It was explained in the novel that in this timeline Cecil was actually influenced by the birds charm. Although Zeno is a high ranking spirit but he isn’t really strong with dark magic thats why Cecil was influenced by charm.
In the current timeline Beritia has kuro(? Sorry forgot her name) which is a high ranking dark magic spirit which protected cecil.

Woah the webroon portrayed it really mildly here. In the novel the prince actually coldly asked who she was. But Yessss!!! This is only the beginning
