If Sakae did just dye his hair to black, one of his children would have atleast gain his golden hair. But none of them did.

Is it possible that Aoi fell in love with a human and Sakae was there to help him and they exchanged places?

wow yeah that would be a twist but then again why is a golden haired sakae who is against demons in ashiya? it that was not the case i would totaly think the same kinda like ashiyas crazy power is becoce his dad would be a demon but then again i think the sister would have to be a bit different as well and the family name itself seems to have some connection to the underworld lets just hope we soon get some more information to all our questions because i think there are so many crazy possibilitys we either have the answer or more likely the mangaka is keeping something or giving us in the last moment to turn everythin around like i even wondered if the goldenhair and eyes were because of his strong powers and once they weakened his hair and eyes became dark ( and maybe is ashiya gets stronger his hair and eyes would change as well ?? haha like some funny super saiyan twist and he might have died because his powers got weaker but then again i also had once the thpught maybe we had some weird detective conana momant with amnesia or reborn and itsuki is actually sakae and aoi took him in because well who else should take in a reincarnated or shrinked demon exorcist so he doesnt relive the painfull passt of demon hurting his surroundings since if he stayed with aoi he would learn about his power and not start to hate the demons if he is mostly living with them :D ) well lets enjoy the many thoughts its soo funny to think about other posinilitys after a new development :D

1. As I’ve said Aoi is represented as the cat so I think when Aoi died he asked Sakae to protect his son or something
2. Abeno said that Aoi was affected by the “parasite shrub” but there was a way to actually weaken the shrub but will cause tremendous pain and a mere demon survived from it... so why would Aoi refuse to eat it of he was a strong demon? and why did “Aoi” chose to be left out from the forest? and Abeno didn’t even see him or even a corpse or something
3. If Aoi and Sakae did switch places, Sakae is the one whose affected by the parasite. (Sakae’s background is also a mystery, maybe when we know that some things will make sense)
