It's Frieren, I was just re-reading some chapters and at ch. 45 during the first exam the two first class mages who oversee the exams start talking about Frieren's identity and one of them mentions how she was carrying the holy emblem (the old necklace) and the other mage then calls her "The last great mage”, so apparently that emblem really is a proof of a great mage, although I wonder if Frieren even knows that.
I betcha she was told so, but didn't care / bother to remember :))))

A bullying scandal broke out wherein OG kiryeo was accused as the bully with a questionable photo attached to it.... but he was actually the savior of the bullied (similar to moondae scandal from Debut or Die). The bullying then shifted to him and the first victim (which was a child actress) gained courage and convinced him to report it to the teachers but kiryeo rejected it, thinking that it may cause trouble for the child actress. Later on, he told the girl to distance herself from him cuz it may cause a dating scandal (since y'know s.korea is sensitive to stuff like that).
The girl then asked her why he saved her then he confessed that he was also bullied back in elementary school and what struck me was when he said that " if there was one person on my side at that time, then that's enough.... really, just one person" so he thought that in the future he will be that person to anyone that's struggling.
After the scandal was proven false, another scandal broke out later on, involving kiryeo's biological mother. And let's just say she's someone TOTALLY undeserving having someone as kind as kiryeo as a son.
She drove him to the brink of financial hardship and despair until he starved himself to death... and she's unaware that her OG son was long dead cuz she's that indifferent to him and also very shameless and entitled now that our alien took over and became a (fake) s-class...
So yah, that's the short miserble life of OG kiryeo who died without even realizing his boundless potential （/TДT)/
