Up to you. I kept up with the novel because I wanted to see her become a diva. If you ignore some certain *things* the novel was relatively a good read. She learns and comes to accept herself while gaining a deeper understanding of showbiz and her death. (She was really ignorant when she was in Xia Ling form cuz imperial protected her from everything nasty)

Not really abuse, he just got very insecure and become very possessive of her till the point it scares her a lot. He was really close in becoming the 2nd Ziheng but through up and down and a hell of emotional rides, he has grown to be a better man ( or even best man ) to the MC. Li Lei is the sweetest bf/ husband you can ever have lol. Too good to be true so this is why it is all fiction I need a Li Lei in my life
Also this whole drama for them to understand each other is only like 1/4 of the 1000+ chapters long
She will faces many more drama
From being denied from Li Lei family
To being recaptured by Ziheng because She was forced to leave him to save his life
Ziheng try to kill hers and Li Lei baby during her captive time ( thankfully the baby still alive)
However she did not get to reunite with her baby till 5 years later
Continue the drama between her and Li Lei’s family ( because they are such assholes) for 600 chapters +
Another 2 years bring apart from Li Lei due fo a misunderstanding that Li lei has a child with his female servant ( and this bitch is hard to eliminate as fuck)
A little more up and down with Ziheng
And till finally they can officially get marry with 3 kids (2 boys 1 girls, one of them is adopted)
After chapter 1000+ is some side stories about Ziheng’a servant, Ziheng and Mc’s past life , Mc’s 3rd child ( girl ) story
A side note that this novel has alot of mythological elements. There is spell casting, alien ( this is emphasize more on the mc’s child side story) , rebirth lol , oath, fate and destiny. These have a huge impact on the plot.
The MC herself is not a normal person, she is a Phoenix child who had been rebirth once so it makes her even more special than previous Phoenix child in her family. The MC real family is not a normal family as well

I don’t know about the manga. I was able to read the novel because it was translated into Vietnamese (actually only converted, not even a proper translation) so can’t really help you there.

Elias does not, but he can change into people he knows or sees. He changed into Simon once, a woman we don't know, and chise once also. But elias doesnt have an actual human form! :) read this manga/anime!! Its very very good! One of my favorite anime/manga ever!!!
