@the anonymous bullshitters who waited for bj alex to be over to complain
Can y'all just fuck off?
Did you choose to come and read yaoi and still complain about rape tropes? Are you dumb or just fucking dumb? Newsflash, this is yaoi and you aren't the only one who fucking knows what rape is. If you think you're so fucking politically correct, do us a favor and QUIT READING YAOI. Please.
You seem to not understand that yaoi is in the 18+ section. This means that this is porn. Just because you can find it in a site along with the cutesy yaoi or shoujo manga doesn't mean it's any less than porn. I don't see you going around complaining about how porn isn't consistent with reality or how male-dominated and control-oriented they usually are. So take your self-righteous bullshit and shove it right up your ass. Please.
Do you see that this is a genre where girls are fetishizing gay men for their fantasies? You seem to not understand that this whole genre is made of bullshit. And then you complain about rape.
I cannot believe how many times I've seen people wait to read, complete a manga just to complain about it. You're reading porn and you're in the 18+ section, act like you know that this is fiction. And if you're taking sex advice from yaoi, you're fucking mental.

am i the only one who feels a pang of hurt when they think that despite the seme (ooft i forgot his name already rip) comforting the uke repeatedly and telling him that he is irreplaceable, he can't help the age gap between them? And there is a higher chance of the uke to pass earlier.. ik im pessimistic as fuck but idk just smth to think about.

people who keep coming @ yaoi for not being an accurate representation of homosexual relationships or the lgbt community are a bit stupid (not stupid, but rather unnecessary for the lack of a better word)

No matter which form of art or fiction it is (books, movies, songs, animes, manga), if it justifies or romanticizes serious crimes like rape and sexual assault, I believe it's worth to be criticized, even if it's a little bit. Ofc it wouldn’t stop all the authors to stop creating such stuff, but it'd leave a proof that human are still sane and knows what's wrong is wrong.

No no, I agree that works that romanticize rape can affect people in reality. People may look at crime and subconsciously treat it like it's treated in the book.
However, my point is that yaoi is a genre of manga that is literally the ((fetishization of gay people for young *girls*)). Do you see the problem here? The whole genre itself is made on politically incorrect things. People complaining half the times pick and choose which issues to criticize in the book, not understanding that this whole section is inconsistent with reality.
So, they chose to read yaoi, come to read it and while reading these they see others who enjoyed it and seem to decide that they are the only ones who see the problem. My only solution is, don't read if you're not self-aware. It's one thing to criticize Shakespeare (Well-known, student-read) for being wrong, and another to yaoi authors. That's like going to porn and complaining about how females are dominated, how it supports patriarchy or how inconsistent it is with reality. It's purely based on fantasies and if you think your mind is going to be swayed because you're reading yaoi that insinuated rape is romantic, maybe you shouldn't be reading in the first place.
That aside, if you're looking for yaoi that is absolutely fantastic and sticking by the guidelines (the art is not 100% tho) I'd recommend Dark Heaven. I would say it's the only yaoi I've ever read that I felt accurately described the oppression.
i- wtf i died omg kshskajshskhskj
