I really do agree that those works would never spread globally when there's no fan-translation "industry".
Well, the only good point from that "stupid" move was perhaps that it will force people/reader to study their (OC) language properly and did not rely on online services.
Nevertheless, this will hit them quite hard, just because their mother language was not something even close to lingua franca.

I don't think people would follow that path passionately, suppose there is no update for a series I'd just assume it got axed and move on. It's not strange for things to cease to exist, but they overestimated their worth. Maybe they think ... oh free stuff not available, readers on free sites will buy their official releases. Seriously if they had the money to spare to buy, no one would read on free sites.

Nah, even if we did learn the language, the app they use is using phone number to sign up. Some app even need a local number.
But they did this before, when Raeliana and Athy manhwa is still ongoing. People run to the discord and making secret channel. Then sometime later fan translation came back like nothing happened.
I kinda hope the same thing will happen later.

Yeah, and most people in my country don't even use credit cards, so even if I do have the money, I can't really give it to them. I can only pay in cash.
And while I can go to the bank and get one, the amount of paperwork simply isn't worth it. Not when my government does everything in it's power to get me to hate even the thought of it.
I'd like to support the author and artist behind the work, but there is really only so much I can do other than spread the name of the work and do some fan arts and edits so others can hear about it and support it Instead.
quite a silly face he has tho
