Basically it's because the MC father caring is on the wrong way, he should express with emotions, but all he did was talking with cold voice and glare to his daughter for years, it's sad because the first life ending with a huge misunderstanding between father and daughter.
He was acting cold to her bcz to make the king not use her or hurt her. The king was gonna use her to threaten him
Sad tho, in the other hand the MC just keep having misunderstanding till the end she thought his father hates her to the bone...
