For most people here (including me), the age of consent is 18 because people who are younger than that are underdeveloped and do not know how their choices will affect them in the future. However, for some countries (like certain ones in Europe) the age of consent is 16. And for Japan, it’s even lower although every province has it higher than the National age of consent. This is when you just cut losses because the guy is ?17? I believe and really you can’t argue with people who’s been raised their whole life learning that at 17 you are old enough to make your own romantic and sexual decisions
