I confirm this ( ･﹏･) as someone brought up among brothers it's often chaotic, annoying, and very competitive for no reason. If they're much older than you, you get babied and excluded sometimes and they do buy you food but this care comes with its downsides and constant fights :<
you should have met my grandpa. He was younger than most of his siblings (he had 2 sisters and 4 brothers I think...sometimes its difficult to keep the family history straight), but he was the epitome of kind, protective older brother.
I have to say when we (my older brother and I) were younger. My brother was protective of me. As we grew up our great aunt came o live with us. And she pitted the two of us against each other. We haven't since then been that friendly towards each other. Now I have tried to mend the bridge so to speak. But he wants nothing to do with mending and still hold grudges of how he's supposed to be better.
Italians favor the boys. So our aunt filled his head of how lesser I am.

She's been passed away for years. But absolutely destroyed our sibling love. At the age we are now of 36 (him) and 33(me), it's very hard to get him to talk about it and or want to fix it. My bros tease me all the time and when I was younger, I literally had to hide my portion of snacks in my closet because they always eat everything. They also protect(?) me from other people, sometimes? But guess who made me cry the most in my entire life- yeah, them. I have a 9-year age gap with my eldest brother so now that we're older, it's pretty fun having them buy stuff for me, mostly food. Now it's brother = wallet.
