I think authors use the "rape" incidents also to accentuate the influence of pheromones. We as normal people from reality can't imagine what those pheromones would do to us but look at cats for example, female cats go into heat and attract males against their (female) own will and the male cat essentially rapes them because the female is almost never willing, Alphas and Omegas are like animals in human skin and I think you can't put normal human morals on that just like you can't with animals... Omegaverse isn't reality and you can't judge it the same way.
