MC isn't an angel. She forced the Duke to marry her. Forced him to have to have sex with her to continue his family line (skirting the line of rape, imo). And refused to even touch her child.
The last one I give more of a pass to. Postpartum depression is REAL and with all of her childhood trauma, it made it even harder for her. But the other two are also REAL.
The way I see it, if the roles were reversed and the ML was the one who forced the MC into a marriage and forced her to have a baby, I'd be disgusted, so it should be the same in this case, too.

Hahahaha, she DID force him to marry her. It says it multiple times. The second scene where she goes to visit her father and he slaps her and tells her 'didnt I tell you to stay out of my sight' but she doesn't leave? And then he tells her 'fine' and she thanks him?? That was where she begged her father to engage her to the ML.
She even says later that she knew he was already engaged to someone else, but that she wanted him so much, she didn't care.
Also, I did say that her not touching the baby was more of a pass, because of her trauma.
But for the sake of the baby, it was right for the ML to have him taken of by someone else. She was literally just letting the baby cry in his crib and not doing anything for him.
The ML didn't know her behavior was due to her trauma, he was just looking out for his son.

If I remember correctly, both loved each other. But the ML was very influenced by the introductions of the evil father. The ML was told to act heartless to the MC. I can try to go more into it if any of you want me too.

But also, I would LOVE confirmation that the MC had her father arrange a marriage between her and the ML, even while KNOWING he was already engaged.
So the ML was offered marriage. He was married to his black haired fiancé, but the black hair fiancé had a lower status than the MC. So getting married to the MC was more beneficial to him. Which is why he accepted the request or get married and divorced his past wife. Really he had all the right to refuse.
But from her point of view (and the rest of society's) since she didn't know that he actually loved her, she thought that she stole him from his fiance. Right?

Also the only reason the black haired ex came back was due to the evil fathers schemes. It wasn’t done by the ML, pretty much the ML was clueless to what was really happening, and by the time he figured out the MC already died.
