Shiiiiit. There is so much backstory that we don't know, like how the novel should end, what happened in the past to Claude, what happened between athy's mom and Claude, athy reliving for the third time... So many questions and still not many answers.

I feel like he also points to how maybe she could have given up trying to get her fathers love in her first life and how in her second life I think the webtoon showed she overdosed?? If I’m remembering that right?
Claude loves Athy's mother, so much so that he can't forgive her for choosing to have Athy rather than choosing to live with Claude. When Athy's mother got pregnant Arby's magic was so strong that it was literally killing her mother. Claude wanted her mother abort Athy, but she wouldn't because the baby was a part of her and Claude. So when Athy's mom died giving birth to Athy, Claude blamed Athy for her mother's death and grew to hate her. It was only made worse because the original Athy looked and acted so much like her mother that he couldn't get over the loss and that turned into a deep seeded hatred for his daughter. Oddly enough the chapters that I saw dealing with this were early on in the raws, but haven't seen them in the translated versions yet.
Finally we are seeing more of the prince (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
