guys, you can clearly tell that the prince isn't quite right.

he isn't happy that doram's brother is dead. he's happy he was able to gather information doram WANTED to know for him. as some other comments said, he took it literally and obviously didn't think anything of the content of the information, and just that fact that had news to deliver.

think of him as a dog who's just happy to bring his owner back something and expects a reward afterwards.

we can see a bit of contrast in this with the prince's brother. his own brother is dying but he isn't sad or happy about it. it is just as it is to him.

the prince loves doram, at the very least likes him, whether he knows it or not right now. seeing doram like this is shocking to him- it could very well be the first genuine emotion he's ever felt for all we know
