Hyesung is not really my favourite character but for some reason I like him as a mom in this story. And the dynamics between Dojin and Hyesung as a parents is balance.
We are supposed to hate the dad for abandoning Haebooom. But how can we do that if every chapter he is becoming more and more lovable??? I'm so close on wanting.to be Haebom's step mom. Lololol

Haeboem is a proof that people can still be kind and full of love even if they grow up without their parents. There's a lot of leads out there who ends up with trashy attitude and blame the lack of parental guidance while growing up for their attitude.
While we have Haeboem here, caring for an entire village and even to his father who abandoned him and his mother.

I read a lot of stories with this kind of plot and if there's something I noticed about this one it's probably that the MC doesn't really hate his original parents especially his father. Even how he treated his grandfather that one time he met him.
his feelings towards his og mother 'nd father i feel are refreshingly very nuanced and real in that sort of situation. im not a chaebol's child (lol), but i found it both incredibly relatable, and a bit cathartic as someone with a similarly rough relationship and conflictions with my own parents
I think it’s also because he doesn’t really see them as parents. More like mentors as he raised himself. He might get a issue in this life now that he finally knows what a parent SHOULD be like lol
