Van in the main timeline is just too good of man who follows justice. If he found our everything Ver did, he would reject her. Still love but reject her.
Though this alternative timeline Van wouldn't since he's filled with regret over Ver. Yet, he's still kind of naive to what Ver is truly capable of.
Also him wrapping up everything kinda makes Ver revenge that less fulfilling to her.
Either way, Blaine is the better choice and I would have liked to see how their married life was like. Especially, since they really are THAT power couple. Also what their kids were like, probably beautiful and terrifying
