So just gonna say this again... I feel like her father was one of the person who came back to the past... remember they said thier was a 3rd person? But they can't remember who? Her father in some of the 1st chapters had some constant memories/dream of the future... and it actually would make sense why kiera was also choosen to be the 3rd person to go back to the past even tho the she was never acquainted with the mage... especially by the fact stand that they say the "other person" chooses who's memories get restored/stay/preserved... which kiera responded as "Are you ok? Cuz I don't remember using such a spell." ... so his father could have choosen kiera to preserve her memories and him to forget...

Basically my point is I feel like his father is already repenting for his mistakes and is doing what he can to atone for the mistakes he made... so let's try to cut him some slacks... he wasn't tought how to show emotion, nor did any teach him how to be a good parents (thats not an excuse tho to neglect/abandon your child)... so that behavior of his is understandable.

Well that's just a theory tho... but sure as Hell I wang them all to have a happy family!
