I know what you mean....sometimes we love the story, but unnecessary drama that doesn’t serve any other purpose than turmoil is aggravating. Had Carsien been left blind with chapters of drama centering on it, I’d do exactly what you said, quit reading updates until the blind problem was resolved. Then I’d scan thru them for tidbits of info dealing with story progression and ignore the rest.
