It's gotten to the point where I check this every few hours or so to see if it updated.
More than the plot, more than the mystery, more than overcoming the trials they face individually or as a couple, more than the other characters or anything else, his attitude towards her here and in the future is what I love so much about this story. He recognizes that she isn't just asking for his input or preference on the garden but is asking for permission on something that she should have full rights and control over. No matter what happens he always gently reassures her and tells her that no matter what she does, it's alright. It's within her right to do whatever she pleases with her power. That, to a formerly powerless person, is more strengthening and heartwarming than anything else even if she still sees it as a give and take relationship rn.
I wish he would accept that Sui is a battle maniac just as much as Feru. Let him enjoy himself and learn to battle well as safely/properly! It is kinda funny how distraught he is over Sui's love of fighting but it's also kinda silly that he gets do shocked all this time. Have you not been traveling with this baby the whole time??

What would be a great plot twist is if she actually does have to hide because she's actually inhabiting the body of some minor character that the emperor knows.
From his embarrassed moments to his unsure ones. When he looked up at Alicia for permission (the way kids look to their parents/older siblings for confirmation that something is okay) before letting the Grand Chamberlain have it, my heart stopped from the cuteness.
The main character is a Mary Sue and there's been no real conflict so far. She solves everything somewhat uniquely but easily in the end. By description this should be boring me but I love it. Maybe because of her personality?
I relate to the MC so much. Last panel especially.
Also I guess Kai is seeing how bad it is for Alicia finally but fortunately she's very strong.
They pulled a Marvel's Avengers level meme of doing the dust fade death in that last chapter lol
