The art was amazing, the world-building was interesting, the story is ok and the MC was kinda... Lame. With the plot armor being too much!
He's easily forced, his conviction was flimsy and his motivation was lousy. Every problem he encountered would solved itself with the MC being 'lucky'. At work, there's 'daddy' boss. At home, there's loving bratty sister and 'plot-tool sick' mom (copy-paste solo leveling ig). At getting stronger, always get a badass sexy master for your aesthetic convenience!
I could imagine him as a king with manipulative retainers imagining himself as a great monarch not knowing he has been thoroughly brainwashed along the way believing he is!
Dropping this cuz I've wasted my tym cringing in every chapter, can't take it y'all. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
I can agree on some of these, but I actually don't think he had that much plot armor. I do think that he's extremely naïve though.
Solo Leveling has more plot armor with the way the MC nearly wins everything without anything truly traumatic. If you want to throw in the "luck" factor, the fact that the MC in SL managed to summon rare bosses/people (Ignis, Ant boss, etc) as his minions is way luckier than whatever the MC here has done so far. In the recent chapter, he looks to have summoned that giant dragon which not only wasn't his own kill, but the chances for it to succeed should have been abysmally low.
In this one, MC was nearly tortured to death and killed. He had to experience getting his fingers + toes cut off, multiple stab wounds, and more while being healed and misunderstood at the whims of people who don't bother for his humanity. You also missed the fact there was a time skip meaning he was unlucky for 5-6 whole years of suffering not knowing what his class/ability was and what he could do. He only just managed to find out by going to the 5th floor and yes it was lucky, but after 5-6 years of building up the setting? I think that's worth the time to give the MC his luck/plot armor.
We're also only 20 chapters in which isn't that much when considering that the MC is showing signs of character growth after finally discovering his own capabilities. I just hope he becomes smarter.
what do you expect from a girl who’s confined and abused every single day until she died? Have some thoughts syaedam
As much as I want to sympathize with 'Am i the daughter', I just find the MC extremely lacking compared to 'Monster Duchess and the Contract Princess' and the MC there wasn't even reborn to realize her circumstances suffering under severe abuse by her family.
