With how he just ruined the lives of Lil bro and let FL misunderstood everything, and making things complicated by making a deal with her father with the phrase 'As long as Lamia is still alive', it doesn't seem like love at all. On the way, he may have lost it and became too obsessed on how things were.
They were too many misunderstandings, they were either stuck on the past or always looking out for the future. And thats why its boring because they don't seem to have the present at all.
